UNESCO World Heritage Sites
The second largest country in the world was colonized by the British and French and although the French eventually lost control there influence is still seen to day where many speak french as their first language.
It has a diverse landscape with the flat plains in the South (larger in area than those of its smaller southern neighbour) and the high Rockies in the West. The country stretches northwards into the high artic with its tundra eventually giving way to permanent ice and snow cover.
Despite its size Canada is not heavily populated and its vast interior still represents an adventure to explore.
