UNESCO World Heritage Sites
The Republic of El Salvador is both the smallest and most densely populated Central American republic.
Tourists have been attracted back to El Salvador since the UN brokered peace agreement in 1991, following the civil war. They are attracted by the unspoiled beach resorts, although, the high prices for rooms and air travel in combination with the crime rate does put a lot of people off.
