Set between the Atlantic and Carribean, the former British colony of Antigua has two remote dependancies: Barbuda (which boasts a magnificent beach and lagoon) and Rebonda (an uninhabited rock with its own king).

Approximately ¼ million visitors go to Antigua each year, and it is very popular with USA cruises.
There are plans for a US$300 million hotel, golf and casino complex together with a shopping, entertainment centre near to the airport.
